Destination Weddings

Whew! After a few crazy busy days, I'm finally back to my blog! I apologize for the delay.

Today, I bring you AMAZING (and I mean AMAZING) locations in Europe. There is something about Europe that has always fascinated me. There are so many luxurious places in Europe...you have Paris, Rome, Venice, Madrid, London, and the list goes on and on! It's obviously very difficult to hit all locations, but here are a few that I fell in love with!

A. The St. Regis ~ Rome, Italy

Located in the heart of Rome, The St. Regis is located within walking distance of the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish steps. There are many Italian and Mediterranean cuisine restaurants located inside the hotel, in addition to their famous Di...Vino Private Wine Cellar. The hotel offers wedding packages, as well as proposal packages. The Salone Ritz (pictured to the left) is the main ballroom in The St. Regis and can accommodate up to 540 guests. The hotel has an experienced wedding coordinator staff that can assist couples in planning their wedding day. In Italy, there are relatively few marriage requirements unlike many other countries in Europe that require lengthy residency requirements. For information regarding legal requirements, please take a look at the U.S. Department of State's website: http://travel.state.gov/law/citizenship/citizenship_754.html

B. Island of Mykonos (Greece) ~ Santa Marina

Now if this location isn't breathtaking, I certainly wouldn't know what is! The Island of Mykonos, is one of the Greek Islands and is one of the most picturesque locations in the entire world! The Santa Marina hosts wedding ceremonies as well as receptions. This hotel actually has a traditional Greek church on-site for Greek Orthodox religions. Ceremonies are held just outside the entrance of the church on a secluded lawn and for other religions, "blessing" weddings are also held. For non-Greek Orthodox U.S. Citizens, civil ceremonies are held as opposed to religious ceremonies. These ceremonies are still considered legal; however, are not recognized by the couple's church.

C. The Westin Excelsior ~ Florence, Italy

Located in the heart of Florence, Italy this hotel is surely to give you the wedding of your dreams! There is nothing that says romance quite like Italy in my opinion! The hotel features spectacular ballrooms to host your wedding receptions with several cathedral churches near by available for wedding ceremonies. Please view the link above for more information regarding the legal requirements of having a wedding in Italy.

Since it is so very difficult to cover all of what Europe has to offer...check back soon for more destinations in Europe!
